AAID-KCAA-KAA-KAAO INDUSTRY AFFAIRS MEETING HELD ON 3RD AUGUST 2026 AT EKA HOTEL

The Aircraft Accident Investigation Department (AAID) participated in the Industry Affairs Meeting held on 3 August 2026 at EKA Hotel alongside the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA), the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), and the Kenya Association of Air Operators (KAAO).

The meeting provided a platform for stakeholders to discuss matters of mutual interest, share updates on government policies, regulatory developments, and operational issues affecting the aviation sector. Key discussions focused on aerodrome infrastructure, particularly Wilson Airport, the JKIA and Wilson Airport Master Plans, legislative developments, bird strike mitigation, licensing and certification, and the application of technology to enhance aviation safety and efficiency.

The meeting underscored the importance of continued stakeholder collaboration in promoting aviation safety, security, and operational excellence.
