The AAID releases a preliminary investigation report on the accident involving a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan ,Registration 5Y-CCA operated by Mombasa Air Safari

On 28 October 2025 at approximately 8:33 AM, a Mombasa Air Safari Cessna 208B (5Y-CCA) crashed in the forested, hilly terrain of Tsimba Golini in Kwale County shortly after departing Ukunda Airport for Kichwa Tembo, resulting in the deaths of all eleven occupants and the aircraft was destroyed. The AAID immediately dispatched investigators and, in accordance with ICAO Annex 13, notified the NTSB, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada, and ICAO. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing and further updates will be issued by the AAID as the investigation progresses.
