Aircraft Accident at Mt. Ololokwe, Samburu County, Involving an Airbus Helicopter EC 130 B4, Registration 5Y-GYM, Operated by Lady Lori (Kenya) Limited.

The Aircraft Accident Investigation Department (AAID) was notified of an aircraft accident that occurred on the morning of 19th August 2026 at approximately 9:13 AM, involving an Airbus helicopter EC 130 B4, registration 5Y-GYM, operated by Lady Lori (Kenya) Limited, at Mt. Ololokwe in Samburu County. 

The helicopter was conducting a scenic flight with seven persons on board, all of whom sustained fatal injuries. The aircraft was destroyed by impact forces, followed by a post-accident fire. 

AAID investigators were immediately deployed to the crash site to commence on-site investigations and gather relevant evidence. AAID will provide further updates as the investigation progresses and additional information becomes available.
