Kenyan registered Cessna Grand Caravan C208B Crashes in South Sudan.

The Aircraft Accident Investigation Department (AAID) has been notified of an aviation accident that occurred on Monday, 27 April 2026, at approximately 9:40 AM local time., involving a Cessna Grand Caravan, registration 5Y-NOK, operated by CityLink Africa Airways.

The aircraft had departed Yei Airport bound for Juba Airport before crashing and resulting in the deaths of all 14 persons on board, including two Kenyan nationals and twelve South Sudanese nationals.

In accordance with the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation, Kenya, as the State of Registry and Operator, has appointed an Accredited Representative (ACCREP) to participate in the investigation in collaboration with the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) of South Sudan to determine the probable causes of the occurrence.
