Technical Support Mission to Kenya by the Civil Aviation Safety and Security Oversight Agency (CASSOA)

The Aircraft Accident Investigation Department (AAID), in collaboration with the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), engaged with a team of experts from the Civil Aviation Safety and Security Oversight Agency (CASSOA) during a technical support mission aimed at addressing outstanding protocol questions from the previous audit. This engagement forms part of Kenya’s ongoing preparations for the upcoming audit and underscores the country’s commitment to strengthening its aviation safety oversight system.

The mission focuses on assessing Kenya’s compliance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) requirements and evaluating the implementation of harmonized East African Community (EAC) model regulations and associated Technical Guidance Materials (TGMs). It seeks to ensure full alignment with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs), thereby enhancing coordination, operational efficiency, and the overall effectiveness of the national aviation safety framework.
